MANAMA: The Cabinet yesterday paid rich tributes to His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa.
It recalled with pride that he was a generous leader who realised the needs of Bahrain’s citizens and played a pivotal role in the country’s development.
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and Prime Minister, remotely chaired the extraordinary Cabinet meeting.
The Cabinet issued a statement mourning the loss of HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman.
The Cabinet extends its deepest condolences to His Majesty King Hamad, to the Royal Family and to citizens of the kingdom following the passing of HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, it said.
“Bahrain, the region, and Arab and Islamic nations have lost a wise leader, who sacrificed his life in service of his King and country through a remarkable journey of achievements that will be remembered long into the future.”
