Muscat: The United Kingdom has temporarily banned flights from the Sutanate as part of its efforts to curb the spread of the coronavirus disease.
The ban on Oman, which begins on March 19, also includes 35 other countries as part of UK's Red List, Times of Oman reported.
During this period, entry is only permitted to British and Irish nationals, as well as foreign citizens with residency rights to the country.
All passengers will have to complete a mandatory quarantine at a hotel for 10 days and take two Covid-19 tests during that period: on the first or second day, and on the eighth day.
