Bahrain Post has alerted citizens and residents to beware of scammers.
The Transportation & Telecommunications Ministry issued an advisory on its social media accounts, saying that fraudulent messages are being sent out in the name of Bahrain Post by scammers phishing for personal and bank details.
Fraudsters are targetting unsuspecting people on the pretext of authorizing postal shipment receipts and claiming prizes via SMS, social media, and emails.
It further clarified that Bahrain Post does not ask for personal information or bank details and only contacts the customers through official channels upon arrival of postal packages.
