Manama: Instant money transfer brand Xpress Money has announced a partnership in Bahrain with Travelex, a leading foreign exchange specialist.
Through the partnership, Travelex will offer Xpress Money’s services to its customers in Bahrain, said officials during the launch event at the Bahrain Conference Centre in Crowne Plaza Hotel yesterday.
The brands have come together to offer their expertise in money transfer services in the country.
Travelex has 27 locations in Bahrain, while Xpress Money services can be accessed at approximately 100 locations.
With the addition of Travelex, Xpress Money officials said it now has one of the strongest networks in Bahrain.
Xpress Money chief operating officer Sudhesh Giriyan who was present at the announcement said the brand offers “convenient send and receive services at affordable transfer fees and competitive exchange rates”.
“The remittance industry is one of the most dynamic industries today. We are constantly responding to changing customer needs by providing them with products and services to suit their requirements.
“One of the most important benefits that customers look for, in money transfer, is convenience. As a brand we therefore ensure that convenience stays at the core of all our business strategies,” he added.

Travelex head of product development Louis Bridger said partnering with Xpress Money allowed Travelex to broaden the portfolio of products in Bahrain.
“Given its competitive pricing and wide range of pay-out locations in South Asia and around the world, we are very excited to be working with the team at Xpress Money and look forward to a long and fruitful relationship,” he added.
Mr Bridger also said that customers making remittance transactions from today until August 31 will be entered into a raffle draw for 100 gold coins as a part of the launch celebration.
