Three films will be screened in Bahrain as part of the 2021 Korea Movie Nights.
The ninth edition of the Korean film festival will be held from October 5 to 7, at Cineco in Oasis Mall, Juffair, with full adherence to the precautionary measures of social distancing.
This year, in line with the relaxed measures, the annual film festival returns to its original in-theatre format for three consecutive nights with a pre-booking status for those wishing to attend the shows.
The grand opener for the film festival will be historical epic action movie The Great Battle, which features Korean forces defending the Ansi Fortress from a massive invasion.
2019 drama-comedy Start-up will be screened on October 6 and highlights the story of two young men who go through trials and tribulations as they grow into adults.
Family drama Stand by Me will close the festival with the emotion-laden story of a grandfather’s last days and his preparations for the future of his two grandchildren.
Those who wish to watch any of the movies are invited to register by filling out an online form for each movie which is available on the Korean Embassy’s website.
