Riyadh: iPhone users in Saudi Arabia have been denied access to FaceTime application on the first day of Eid Al-Fitr, reported Arabic newspapers Sabq. The Saudi Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) and the other operators have reportedly blocked FaceTime - a video telephony app developed by Apple Inc and widely used in Saudi Arabia.
Many Saudis travel abroad to buy their iPhone mobiles that support the FaceTime application, which is blocked by operating companies in Saudi. However, the free- of-charge service has now been blocked to all users indefinitely.
