Parliament’s session has been suspended temporarily after tempers flared between MPs.
The chaos was sparked by legislative and legal affairs committee chairman Fadhel Al Sawad, who described one of his colleagues as a "dictator".
Parliament was debating allowing civil servants to sell extra days of annual leave.
Several MPs stood in protest with Speaker Fouzia Zainal trying to control the situation, which included switching off microphones, but loud voices were too much to handle.
"Respect each other. Respect each other." shouted Ms Zainal repeatedly.
The session has just resumed.
