Omani authorities are continuing their search for four people who were washed away by the tides in Dhofar Governorate.
Teams from the Royal Oman Police (ROP) and the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority (CDAA) have been working in cooperation with the military and security apparatuses with support from the Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO).

The rescue operations have been led with the use of advance diving and search equipment as well as drones due to the difficult topography of the area, ROP operations director general Brigadier Mohammed bin Nasser Al Kindi told Times of Oman.
Authorities have managed to rescue over 40 people with the help of citizens and retrieved the bodies of 16 others after various governorates of the Sultanate witnessed heavy rainfall from July 7 to 12.
