KUWAIT CITY: A Kuwaiti woman confessed to murdering her young son and disposing off his body after hiding it for three months at her home.
Investigating officers revealed to public prosecution that the woman had been addicted to drugs for ten years and that she had admitted to planning to kill her son, Saqer Al-Mutairi, because of the ‘problems’ he caused her.
Sources allege that the mother and her eldest son brutally assaulted the young victim in February and the boy complained of extreme pain in his head from the severity of the assault.
He was found motionless and not breathing a few days later and the woman then left his body in a room until late May.
She revealed that she had used cleaning products to deal with the foul odours emanating from the body.
The woman was arrested in late May and sent to prison on unrelated theft charges, during which time she asked her eldest son to wrap the body in cloth and carpet and dispose it off near their house.
The son then asked municipality workers to throw the body away, claiming it to be a dead animal and workers promptly responded to the request and dumped it in a landfill unaware of the crime.
Public Prosecution has detained the woman for 21 days.
