A HOUSEMAID was jailed for a year while another woman was fined BD50 after being found guilty of assaulting each other, writes Zainab Almahdi.
In an incident which occurred in August last year, the two women got into an argument over the Indian maid’s cleaning duties in the Bahraini woman’s mother’s house.
The physical altercation began when the 58-year-old Bahraini woman pushed the 37-year-old expat who then retaliated by grabbing a finger of the other woman causing it to fracture.
The High Criminal Court found the maid from Naim guilty of cause a one per cent disability for the Bahraini financial supervisor living in Arad.
