I TOTALLY agree with Mr Zuhair Tawfiqi’s view (‘It’s time to address the issue of Bahrainisation’, GDN, July 19) on Bahrainisation of jobs to solve or at least reduce the unemployment among hordes of graduates coming out of Bahrain universities and schools.
The Labour Ministry officials are doing their best but need to urgently think out-of-the-box solutions and show continuous commitment to rectify the problems faced by young Bahrainis looking for any job in any sector irrespective of their qualifications and specialisation.
Please do not misunderstand me; I am not against any expatriate employment. Even the low entry jobs such as drivers, cashiers, customer service representatives or security guards as pointed out by Mr Tawfiqi seem to be out of reach of Bahrainis.
