A workshop on electoral crimes was held for employees of the Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments and the Youth and Sports ministries.
The workshop, as part of the training programme for the 2022 parliamentary and municipal elections organised by the Public Prosecution and the Institute of Judicial and Legal Studies, is part of a series of lectures and awareness initiatives for participants in the electoral process.
The lecture, presented by Chief Prosecutor Ahmed Al Ramadan, addressed electoral crimes and reviewed the legislation related to them and their classifications, as well as the temporal and spatial scope of campaigning.
The Public Prosecution, based on its awareness-raising role and its contribution to combating electoral crimes, launched a training programme in June for the judicial officers taking part in the 2022 electoral process.
The Public Prosecution is also handling a wide campaign on social media to raise awareness about electoral crimes.
The campaign will run until the end of the electoral process.
