MANAMA: A tender for the capture and relocation of stray dogs was issued yesterday.
The details of the two-year contract, requested by the Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture Ministry, were released on the Tender Board website.
The initial bond, which is BD500, will be valid for 180 days.
“It is a two-year contract in which the contractor shall provide the service of trapping stray dogs in all areas of Bahrain in response to regular complaints,” said the tender description.
“The contractor shall transport the dogs to a designated clinic and then transport them from the clinic to non-residential areas as directed by the Animal Wealth Directorate.”
