Motorists on Bahrain's roads were perplexed at the sight of a giant elephant statue being transported on the back of a truck. The statue, it has been revealed, is for the Onam festival at the Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam.

Vinoop Kumar V. and Dileesh Kumar from the Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam have confirmed to GDN that the elephant will be on display throughout the Onam festival.
The Sraavanam 2022 festival is one of the biggest Onam and Navratri festivals being held in Bahrain. The festival, which runs from August 11 to October 7 promises to be a star-studded affair with many prominent Indian media personalities slated to perform. There are also several events scheduled to celebrate the Indian harvest festival.
