A UK couple has shown their love for Indian food by naming their newborn after the Indian deep-fried snack, 'pakora'.
The news was shared online by The Captains Table, a popular Indian restaurant in Ireland, which showcased images of the baby, along with a receipt for takeaway from the parents.
In the notes section of the receipt, the parents wrote, "My wife has just called our newborn daughter Pakora after her fav dish from The Captains Table... thought you'd like to know."
Pakora is an Indian snack made of a piece of vegetable or meat that is covered in batter and then deep fried.
It is immensely popular as a street snack in India, and is served as an appetizer in most Indian restaurants in the UK.
People took to the comments section of The Captains Table's Facebook page to offer their congratulations to the couple.
