McLaren Automotive has unveiled its enhanced sales and service facility in advance of the first deliveries of its acclaimed new high-performance hybrid supercar McLaren Artura.
The official opening ceremony in Tubli, called ‘Rediscover McLaren Experience’, witnessed the showcase of current and past hybrid supercars from the British marquee – McLaren P1, McLaren Speedtail and McLaren Artura.
The event was held under the patronage of British Ambassador Roddy Drummond and attended by McLaren Automotive’s leadership team, including commercial executive director George Biggs, Europe, Middle East and Africa managing director Brett Soso, as well as Middle East and Africa market director Mohamed Fawzi.
“We’re honoured to officially open the newly-refurbished showroom of McLaren Bahrain,” said Kanoo Motors director Ebrahim Kanoo. “This important milestone coincides with more than five years of our partnership with McLaren Automotive and we are excited about our shared future with the arrival of the all-new McLaren Artura.”
The attending dignitaries, customers and members of the media also admired the iconic M14D-01 Formula One car, driven by the late Denny Hulme during the 1970 F1 season, which complemented the display.
The new facility focuses on improved customer experience and is McLaren’s first showroom in the region featuring a coffee bar, as well as the ‘Woking Window’, where customers can get a peek at the McLaren Production Centre in the English county of Surrey.
The largest shareholder of the McLaren Group is Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company, the kingdom’s sovereign wealth fund.
