A YOUNG Bahraini has been featured in the new Guinness World Records 2023 Book that was unveiled globally yesterday.
Around 50 records from the Arab world are featured in the new edition with Bahraini Adam Saeed, 17, achieving the honour for identifying the most countries by their outline.
Guinness World Records stated that more than 40,000 applicants worldwide submitted their achievements last year in a bid to showcase their talents.
The GDN previously reported that Adam had made it into the record books for identifying the most countries (85) based on their outline in one minute.
“People from all walks of life continue to be fascinated by extremes and we’ve received claims from across the planet, even from space,” said Guinness World Records editor-in-chief Craig Glenday.
“This is why I’ve said the new edition is out of this world.”
Adam had also previously set two additional geography-based Guinness World Records for identifying the most currencies (61) in one minute and breaking his old record for identifying all the national flags in the world.
The St Christopher’s student had set a record time of four minutes 24 seconds for identifying the flags. He later broke his own record by 18 seconds – setting a new one at four minutes six seconds – crediting a much faster typing speed developed as learning switched to a remote format during the Covid-19 pandemic.
