Manama: VIVA Bahrain has introduced a smartphone insurance plan for new Apple iPhone 7 devices, to provide protection against robbery and accidental damage, while offering complete replacement of the insured device.
An announcement said the VIVA Protect insurance cover is available to all VIVA post-paid customers purchasing a new iPhone 7.
The VIVA Protect service is offered for free for the first three months of coverage, with eligible iPhone purchase and can be further extended on payment of monthly instalments of BD2.5 per month.
Customers that subscribe to VIVA Protect and seek replacement of their iPhone 7 device will just have to pay a deductible of BD15 if a claim is made within the first three months or BD30 if the claim is within four to 12 months.
