BAHRAIN recorded a wind speed of 69 knots (127.8kmph) – the highest in its history – early yesterday morning over the kingdom’s southern regions, Bahrain Meteorological Directorate has revealed.
The Durrat Al Bahrain Automated Station registered the wind speed at dawn yesterday, beating the previous record of 62 knots (114.8kmph) in November 2000.
Yesterday, several regions in the kingdom experienced thunderstorms, with medium intensity rainfall. The unstable weather condition continued intermittently until evening.
