The Civil Defence carried out an evacuation exercise in the 22-storey Bahrain Chamber building.
The drill is part of the Civil Defence’s efforts to implement its training and awareness plans to enhance safety for all vital sectors in the kingdom, especially establishments in the trade and industry sectors.
The exercise began with the release of artificial smoke emanating from one of the floors, which resulted in the activation of the alarm bell for the smoke detector.
A total of 335 people were evacuated from the building. The exercise was followed by a lecture by specialists on developing a plan to evacuate the building in emergency situations to protect lives and property.
