THE Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) yesterday conducted two inspection campaigns in Muharraq and Southern governorates on a number of offices and worksites. The campaigns resulting in the reporting of violations related to the Labour Market and Residency Laws. The cases were referred for legal action, the LMRA said.
It noted that one inspection was conducted in the Southern Governorate in co-ordination with the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs and the governorate’s police directorates. The other inspection was undertaken in the Muharraq Governorate in co-ordination with the General Directorate of Crime Detection and Forensic Evidence of the Interior Ministry.
