A photograph of students allegedly trying to bribe exam evaluators by putting money in the answer sheets has gone viral.
The picture shared by IPS officer Arun Bothra on social media platform X (previously known as Twitter) shows Indian currency notes of ₹100, ₹200 and ₹500 tucked into the answer sheets by students during the examination.
The photo was originally taken by a friend of Mr Bothra.
Pic sent by a teacher. These notes were kept inside answer sheets of a board exam by students with request to give them passing marks.

Tells a lot about our students, teachers and the entire educational system. pic.twitter.com/eV76KMAI4a
The money was accompanied by requests made by the students to let them pass the examination.
The post, which has already been viewed more than 108,000 times on X, garnered many responses from people having similar experiences.
"This has happened to me at least three times during my paper correction days! To colleagues too even 20 years ago. The money is usually accompanied by a sad story instead of answers to exam questions. Needless to say, such students usually fail," said one reply.
Others were more sympathetic towards the students, saying that because of the Covid shutdowns, students weren't able to get a proper education.
