The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) yesterday carried out three inspection campaigns in the Capital, Northern and Southern Governorates.
Inspectors reported a number of violations related to labour market and residency laws, LMRA said, noting that necessary measures were taken to refer the cases for legal action.
The authority, in co-ordination with government agencies, continues to intensify efforts to tackle illegal practices in the labour market, ensure fairness and stability, and enhance its productivity.
One inspection campaign was conducted in the Capital Governorate in co-ordination with the Verdict Enforcement Directorate, while the other two took place in the Northern and Southern Governorates along with officials from the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs and the respective police directorate.
LMRA also renewed its call to all members of society to support government agencies’ efforts in addressing illegal labour practices, by reporting violations on its website www.lmra.gov.bh or by calling its call centre on 17506055.
