The Transportation and Telecommunications Ministry has passed the Universal Security Audit Programme (USAP) in accordance with the monitoring approach of the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) with distinction, attaining an international achievement for civil aviation security and safety.
This achievement reflects the commitment of the Civil Aviation Affairs and all official bodies operating at the Bahrain International Airport (BIA) to ensuring compliance with international standards stipulated in Annexes 17 and 9 of the Convention on Civil Aviation, as well as the standards issued by ICAO .
