Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources and chairman of the Local Content and Government Procurement Authority Bandar bin Ibrahim AlKhorayef expressed his thanks and appreciation to Bahrain’s Industry and Commerce Ministry for its fruitful co-operation in supporting and promoting national industries, noting the brotherly relations and economic integration between the two kingdoms.
He said that products made in Bahrain that conform to the new Saudi National Rules of Origin stipulated by Ministerial Decree No. 3852, dated 02/07/2021 will be treated as Saudi products and will benefit from the preferential treatment in accordance with the applicable rules and regulations.
This comes in line with the objectives of the Saudi-Bahraini Co-ordination Council, headed by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in increasing trade between the two countries, strengthening co-operation and working towards more integration.
On Saturday, Bahrain’s Industry and Commerce Ministry had announced that registration is open for Saudi establishments wishing to participate in the Local Value Programme in Industry (Takamul).
