Alba kick-started its month-long breast cancer awareness campaign with a lecture conducted by the Health Ministry’s health promotions programme chief Dr Fatema Hubail.
It was held for female employees at the Oasis Hall and broadcast live to all staff members and their families.
Chief operations officer Dr Abdulla Habib represented the company’s senior management and presented a token of appreciation on Alba’s behalf to Dr Hubail.
The campaign, designed to raise awareness about the disease’s causes, diagnosis, prevention and treatments, will feature a range of other activities dedicated to the aluminium giant’s female employees on health topics, as well as medical check-ups.
