An insurance deposit of BD150 for every labour permit issued to expatriate workers has been introduced in Bahrain.
Labour Minister and Labour Market Regulatory Authority board of trustees chairman Jameel Humaidan issued the decision in the recent edition of the Official Gazette.
The BD150 will be paid whenever the BD200 two-year work permit is applied for, it explained.
