Dutch police made a bizarre discovery during a drug bust in the southern Netherlands: a 2kg garden gnome entirely composed of MDMA, commonly known as ecstasy.
Officers conducting the raid found the figure, realising it was a "strange place to keep your garden gnome," and decided to test it for narcotics. The results confirmed that the entire statue was made of the illegal substance.
The police humorously noted that the gnome looked 'visibly startled'.
MDMA is an illegal drug in the Netherlands and is often associated with the party scene.
