A 59-year-old grandmother of 12, DonnaJean Wilde from Canada, has shattered the world record for the most push-ups by a woman in one hour, achieving an incredible 1,575 repetitions.
Wilde's impressive feat was made even more remarkable by the fact that she broke the previous record with 17 minutes still remaining in the hour. "I had to fight back the happy tears and emotions and keep going," she shared.
The attempt was witnessed by 11 of her grandchildren, who cheered her on throughout the hour. Wilde completed 620 push-ups in the first 20 minutes and maintained an average of 10 push-ups per minute for the remainder of the challenge.

To meet the Guinness World Records criteria, each push-up had to be performed with a 90-degree elbow flexion at the bottom and full arm extension at the top.
This isn't Wilde's first world record. In March, she broke the record for the longest plank by a woman, holding the position for an astonishing 4 hours, 30 minutes, and 11 seconds.
