His Majesty King Hamad ratified and issued Law (21) of 2026 approving Bahrain’s accession to the Locarno Agreement Establishing an International Classification for Industrial Designs, signed in Locarno on October 8, 1968, and amended on September 28, 1979, following approval by the Shura Council and Parliament.
The Prime Minister and the ministers, each within their capacities, shall implement the provisions of this law, which shall come into effect on the day following its publication in the Official Gazette.
His Majesty also ratified and issued Law (22) of 2026 ratifying amendments to certain provisions of the Agreement of the Organisation of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC), following approval by the Shura Council and Parliament.
The law ratifies the amendments in accordance with Resolution (2/113) issued by the OAPEC Council of Ministers on December 15, 2024, regarding the organisation’s business development and restructuring project.
The law also repeals Legislative Decree (15) of 1978 approving the Protocol of the Judicial Authority of the Organisation of Arab Petroleum Exporting
Countries.
The Prime Minister and the ministers, each within their capacities, shall implement the provisions of this law, which shall come into effect on the day following its publication in the Official Gazette.
