A Kuwait deportation officer was sentenced to four years in prison with hard labour after he was discovered to have taken a bribe to overturn the deportation of two expatriate sisters.
The officer reportedly forged official documents and a letter of appeal in exchange for an amount of money he received from the sisters, forging a letter addressed to the Prime Minister and the Interior Minister.
He was referred to Public Prosecution and subsequently charged with forgery of official documents and obtaining illicit benefits through the forgery.
