WEIGHTLIFTING – THE integrity of the IWF World Championships is being safeguarded by the Bahrain National Anti-Doping Organisation (B-NADO), which has been tasked with collaborating with the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).
B-NADO CEO Saad Alnefaie outlined their role in ensuring compliance with international doping regulations in the event, which is scheduled for December 4 to 15.
“Our efforts will include the coordination of testing procedures and the training of personnel to uphold the highest standards in doping control,” he stated.
This proactive approach is crucial for maintaining the championship’s credibility and the athletes’ health.
The kingdom continues to gear up for a surge in activity as delegations arrive for the championship.
Reception, Transportation, and Housing Committee chairman Abdulla Al Ghadeer confirmed that they are making extensive arrangements to welcome delegations from around the world. He noted that a IWF team is expected to arrive shortly, with additional national squads arriving for pre-event training camps.
Meanwhile, the committee responsible for television transmission has been pivotal in coordinating the broadcast of the championship.
TV broadcasting committee chairman Jubran Al Khaja said that the organising committee has contracted Flamingo as the official broadcaster.
He emphasised the importance of close collaboration between Flamingo and Bahrain Sports Channel to ensure that all championship events are televised in a manner that meets international standards.
