Kuwait's Ministry of Justice signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Kuwait Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) on cooperation and information exchange in combating money laundering and terrorist financing, to enhance institutional cooperation and integrate national efforts.
Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Justice Awatif Al-Sanad signed for the Ministry, while FIU Chief Dr. Hamad Al-Mukrad signed for the Kuwait Financial Intelligence Unit, according to a joint statement issued by the two sides on Thursday.
The memorandum aims to enhance coordination and exchange of technical expertise and information, supporting national efforts to combat financial crimes, improve institutional efficiency, and align with international standards while strengthening transparency, integrity, and protection of Kuwait's financial and legal systems.
