Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa sent a letter to GDN Chairman and Responsible Editor and Akhbar Al Khaleej Editor-in-Chief Anwar Abdulrahman, expressing his appreciation for the distinguished national approach reflected in his writing.
He commended his remarkable role in promoting national awareness and strengthening the values of loyalty and patriotism, within the framework of the noble mission undertaken by the national Press in serving society and upholding its principles and supreme interests.
General Shaikh Rashid praised the article written by Mr Abdulrahman published in Akhbar Al Khaleej on May 13 on the need to work collectively in confronting the ‘Wilayat Al Faqih’ project.
It was also published in the GDN headlined ‘Confronting transnational political ideologies’.
He thanked our award-winning executive journalist for the sincere and patriotic sentiments regarding the meeting held with a group of citizens as part of a community partnership and efforts to foster communication with all social components.
“I highly value the content of your media message and its noble orientations, as well as the sincere national significance it carries, which confirms the pioneering role played by the Bahraini Press in serving the nation,” the Interior Minister wrote.
He also commended the significant role of the national Press in fostering patriotism and advancing the kingdom’s development march, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad, and with the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
