The Interior Minister has highlighted ongoing efforts to enhance the police force’s capabilities to ensure security and stability for Bahrain’s citizens, while preserving the nation’s achievements.
General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa was speaking as he attended the ministry’s celebration of Bahrain Police Day yesterday.
The event coincided with National Day celebrations, commemorating the founding of Bahrain as a modern Arab and Islamic state by Ahmed Al Fateh in 1783 and the anniversary of His Majesty King Hamad’s accession.
The minister expressed his pride in Bahrain Police Day, lauding the unwavering support from His Majesty and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He also reflected on the comprehensive development process, led by the King, which has strengthened political openness, coexistence and respect, fostering a secure and inclusive society.
Gen Shaikh Rashid highlighted the development of Bahrain’s security framework, focusing on organisational restructuring, leadership building and fostering trust with the community to create a collaborative approach to public safety.
He paid tribute to the sacrifices of police officers and fallen servicemen, emphasising their dedication and professionalism.
Gen Shaikh Rashid extended his gratitude to the officers and their families, acknowledging their commitment to national service, and expressed appreciation to Bahrain’s citizens for their loyalty and contribution to maintaining security.
The event included a parade showcasing the operational skills of various police units.
The minister also honoured personnel who achieved excellence at the Arab, local and international levels, recognising their contributions to the nation and wishing them continued success.
