The Cabinet has praised the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) for its progress in enhancing combat readiness.
The session, chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, at Gudaibiya Palace yesterday, extended its best wishes for the BDF’s continued progress and development, on the occasion of the 57th anniversary of the force’s establishment.
Ministers attributed the BDF’s growth to the support of His Majesty King Hamad, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.
On the occasion of World Interfaith Harmony Week, which is celebrated annually in the first week of February, the Cabinet affirmed Bahrain’s commitment, under the King’s leadership, to building bridges of communication, co-operation and dialogue among various civilisations, cultures and religions.
Promoting values of tolerance and coexistence for the benefit of humanity is also a priority, it said.
