VOLLEYBALL – Two-time defending champions Dar Kulaib eked out a tough four-set victory over Muharraq last night in an exciting clash in the Top Six round of the 2024-25 Isa Bin Rashid Bahrain Volleyball League.
After the two teams split the first two sets, the victors rose to the occasion in the third and fourth to come away with a hard-earned 3-1 (25-21, 27-29, 25-19, 25-15) decision against their formidable opponents.
With yesterday’s result, Dar Kulaib bounced back from a tight loss in their opening week assignment against Al Ahli, while handing Muharraq their first defeat in this phase after previously beating Al Najma in a five-set thriller.
Last night’s encounter was played at Isa Bin Rashid Arena at Isa Sports City in Riffa, and it kicked off the second week of Tip Six play.
