Bahrain is expected to be very cold, windy and cloudy, with chances of scattered rain until the weekend, weathermen said yesterday.
They also warned of rising sand at places.
This is due to a high pressure accompanied by a polar air mass affecting the Arabian Peninsula, the Transportation and Telecommunications Ministry’s meteorological department said yesterday.
It said strong northwesterly winds and a gradual drop in temperature below 10C are expected to persist until the end of the week.
A temperature of 10C was recorded at Bahrain International Airport in February 2020, while the lowest recorded temperature in February was 7.2C on February 8, 1950.
