An exclusive meet-and-greet was recently held at The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain launching the second edition of the hotel’s ‘Days of Excellence’, a revered culinary and mixology journey.
The event welcomed a range of renowned international chefs and mixologists including MasterChef champion Daniel Lee, who is presenting a special menu at the hotel’s Thai Lounge until Thursday.
Chef Lee is collaborating with the Thai Lounge team, guided by restaurant manager Jomjit Cheepchol and supported by the culinary expertise of chef de cuisine Rerkden Paensurin.
Together, they have crafted a bold, Southeast Asian-inspired menu for the event.
“It’s an honour to be part of ‘Days of Excellence’ in Bahrain,” enthused Mr Lee.
“Working with Jomjit’s team and chef Rerkden allows us to blend my style with the established excellence of Thai Lounge. We’ve focused on creating dishes with vibrant flavours, like the Sambal Chicken using my signature chilli sauce, or the refreshing Kinilaw with local fish.”
Commenting on the collaboration, Ms Cheepchol stated: “Hosting Daniel Lee provides a unique opportunity for our guests. Our team, alongside chef Rerkden, has worked closely with Daniel to integrate his vision into the Thai Lounge experience.”
Mr Paensurin added: “The menu features carefully prepared dishes, from starters like Crab on Toast and Caprese, to mains including King Prawn Noodles and Soy Cured Sirloin, ensuring high-quality execution.”
The special menu, priced at BD45 per person, served with coffee and tea, also includes options like a Turmeric, Coconut and Lime Curry, and desserts such as Mango Sticky Rice, Banana Bread ‘Pain Perdu’ and a Chocolate Torte. Muddled drink pairings are also available.
‘Days of Excellence’ extends beyond Thai Lounge. In collaboration with The Ritz-Carlton, Pune, Cantina Kahlo features Mexican-inspired cocktails by agave expert Vedant Shetty, working alongside restaurant manager Adrian Paredes. This offering complements the restaurant’s newly revamped menu and live mariachi music.
At Burlington Club, head mixologist Sameer Shaw and Restaurant Manager Jarryd Williams are presenting signature cocktails with a Japanese influence, alongside curated cigar pairings.
The overall ‘Days of Excellence’ is led by executive chef Joergen Sodemann and food and beverage director William Fily, who aim to create an immersive journey celebrating global culinary artistry and masterful mixology.
The event offers guests unique dining and beverage experiences across Thai Lounge, Cantina Kahlo and Burlington Club.
