Salmaniya Medical Complex (SMC) is set to undergo comprehensive maintenance work that is scheduled to start this year and will continue for two years, Government Hospitals chief executive Dr Mariam Al Jalahma told our sister paper Akhbar Al Khaleej.
“The new internal expansion work at the medical facility includes the addition of 17 new beds, seven in the recovery unit and 10 in the intensive care unit. The plan also involves enlarging the complex’s external building,” she said.
“The ongoing development of Salmaniya Medical Complex continues on a regular basis. Currently, work is underway to repair the building’s structure following the launch of a tender for this purpose,” she added.
