Under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs and Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS) chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Bahrain Bayan School concluded the first edition of its Tech Summit.
The theme of the summit centres on preserving Bahraini identity in the digital age and the role of education in this regard.
The closing ceremony was also attended by Supreme Council for Environment vice president and Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club (REHC) High Committee deputy chairman Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid bin Isa Al Khalifa.
Shaikh Nasser emphasised that supporting quality educational initiatives aligns with the directives of His Majesty on investing in Bahraini youth. He noted that the students’ innovative projects presented at the event showcased their awareness of how technology can be used to preserve national identity and Bahraini values.
The summit was inaugurated by Bahrain Bayan School chair of the board of trustees Dr Shaikha May bint Sulaiman Al Otaibi.
The event included panel discussions featuring public and private sector officials, a technology exhibition, and student-led projects in artificial intelligence, robotics, virtual reality, animation, and digital applications.
Dr Shaikha May expressed her appreciation to Shaikh Nasser for his patronage and support of educational initiatives. She expressed pride in the summit’s success in promoting collaboration between the school, families, and the local community in advancing educational innovation rooted in national identity.
She also thanked all participating students, parents, teachers, and guests for their contributions, and commended the speakers for enriching discussions with forward-looking ideas on digital-age education.
Bahrain Bayan School also expressed gratitude to the summit’s gold sponsor, STC, as well as the bronze sponsors, government entities, and educational partners for their support and engagement.
