PARALYMPICS – THE new board of the Bahrain Paralympic Committee (BPC) has been officially formed under BPC president Shaikh Mohamed bin Duaij Al Khalifa.
The BPC board members include Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa representing the Bahrain Cycling Association, Shaikh Sultan bin Duaij Al Khalifa representing the Bahrain Disabled Sports Federation, Noman Al Hassan representing the Bahrain Maritime Sports Association, Dr Sawsan Taqawi representing the Bahrain Badminton and Squash Federation, Ruqaya Al Ghasra representing the Bahrain Athletics Association, Eshaq Ebrahim Eshaq representing the Bahrain Weightlifting Federation, Mariam Fouad Alshehab representing the Bahrain Deaf Sports Federation, and Fajr Al Bin Ali representing the Bahrain Combat Sports Council.
Additionally, Ahmed Khalid Al Arifi was appointed as a board member by Shaikh Mohamed bin Duaij Al Khalifa.
This new formation comes as part of the committee’s efforts to enhance support for Para athletes and to develop Paralympic sports in the kingdom.
