FUTSAL – BAHRAIN’S men’s futsal national team enjoyed a dominant 6-0 rout of Hong Kong last night in a friendly match played in the kingdom.
Six different players were on target for the Bahrainis in the contest, which was held at the Bahrain Football Association (BFA) futsal hall at the BFA premises in Riffa.
Opening the scoring was Ammar Mihad, and then Ahmed Antar and Hassan Al Jadahesah added the nationals’ second and third. Also contributing goals to complete the big win were Abbas Eid, Mohammed Abdulla, and Salman Al Mulla.
The victory was the second in a row for the hosts against visiting Hong Kong this week.
The fixtures are taking place as the nationals continue to gear up for future competitions, including the AFC Futsal Asian Cup 2026 Qualifiers, which are scheduled to be played next month.
Bahrain are in qualification’s Group B, to be held in Bangkok, Thailand, along with the host Thais, South Korea, and Brunei Darussalam.
There are 31 nations competing in qualifying, divided into seven groups of four and one group of three. The eight group winners and the seven best-ranked runners-up from the qualifiers will join hosts Indonesia at the 18th edition of the AFC Futsal Asian Cup, which will be held in Jakarta, from January 27 to February 7 next year.
