HORSERACING – Cracksking of Al Adiyat Racing claimed the REHC Cup after racing to victory in the penultimate contest of the day in the fifth event of the 2025-26 horseracing season at the Royal Equestrian and Horseracing Club (REHC) yesterday.
Prime Minister’s Court Minister and REHC High Committee chairman Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa was present on the occasion.
The winner, trained by Daniel and Claire Kubler and ridden by Ebrahim Nader, eased past second-placed Zagato of Al Mohamediya Racing to claim the coveted trophy. In third place was another Al Mohamediya Racing horse, Panning For Gold.
Earlier, Devaste, owned by Al Mohamediya Racing, won the Arabian Horse Equestrian Services Sprint Cup, sponsored by Red Mills. Jockey Jason Hart was astride Devaste, trained by Osama Hashim.
Meanwhile, California, owned by Abdulla Sami Nass, won the Arabian Horse Equestrian Services Mile Cup, sponsored by Foran, and Miss Yvonne, of Al Mohamediya Racing, claimed victory in the seventh race of the day, for imported horses.
Baraak, of Al Mohamediya Racing, was the winner of the sixth race, for Bahrain-bred horses, while Edward Cornelius, of Al Mohamediya Racing, claimed victory in the fourth race of the day, for imported horses.
Obeyan 1847, owned by Al Khaldiya, won the opening race of the day for the Arabian Horse Equestrian Services Cup (Waho), sponsored by Carr and Day and Martin while the second race was won by Shield Wall, owned by Shaikh Isa bin Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa.
Majarah, owned by Shaikh Isa bin Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa, sealed victory in the concluding race of the day.
