Car window tinting of up to 50% is now permitted in Kuwait, according to new regulations by the Kuwaiti Interior Ministry.
The decision was made by Shaikh Fahad Al Sabah, the First Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister, with the aim of modernising traffic regulations. It raises the permissible window tint percentage from 30% to 50%.
Colored window film may also be used; however, reflective glass or film remains prohibited.
Bahrain's current maximum allowed car window tint is 30%.
