On the occasion of the 95th Saudi National Day today, we stand before a pioneering humanitarian and developmental experience that has transcended geography to reach the hearts of millions around the world.
The kingdom has made humanitarian work an authentic mission, reflected through the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre, which has extended a helping hand to nations in times of crisis, as well as the Saudi Fund for Development, which has contributed to infrastructure and development projects that have transformed the lives of entire communities.
The fund has also supported many developmental projects in Bahrain, rightfully earning its place as one of the world’s leading donor nations.
It is not surprising that generosity is a deeply rooted trait in Saudi Arabia, an extension of the legacy of goodwill upon which it was founded. This also affirms the strong bonds of brotherhood with its sister nations, foremost among them Bahrain, with which it shares a common history and destiny, strengthened by ties of kinship and unity of stance at every critical juncture.
The Saudi role is not confined to the humanitarian and economic spheres alone. It also plays an active part in fostering regional and international peace and stability, serving as a strategic depth for both the Arab and Islamic worlds.
Saudi Arabia bears a major responsibility in defending the causes of the Ummah and raising the voice of truth and moderation in various international fora.
Moreover, the cultural, sporting and artistic transformation unfolding under Vision 2030 has made the kingdom a global focal point. From hosting major sporting tournaments to staging world-class cultural and artistic events, Saudi Arabia has shone with its modern face – affirming that development goes hand in hand with openness to the world, while remaining firmly anchored in authentic national identity.
Today, the vision of Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, is manifest in the building of a modern Saudi Arabia. Economic, social and cultural initiatives converge to make the kingdom a leading model in shaping the future, all while maintaining its vital global humanitarian role. It is a vision that interweaves the threads of the present with the future, proving that Saudi Arabia is not only building itself, but also contributing to the creation of a more humane and stable world.
In Bahrain, as we join our brothers and sisters in celebrating this cherished occasion, we reaffirm our deep pride in the historic bonds that unite our two kingdoms. We look forward to a brighter future under the umbrella of brotherly co-operation that links Riyadh and Manama.
For us, Saudi Arabia is not just a neighbouring brotherly nation, but a steadfast support, a strategic depth and a source of pride for every Gulf and Arab citizen.
The Saudi National Day is indeed a celebration for us all.
