His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, has directed the Labour Ministry to provide three job opportunities for Bahraini employment applicants before the end of the year.
HRH Prince Salman expressed pride in Bahrain’s national workforce yesterday as he chaired a meeting at Gudaibiya Palace to follow up on progress made in providing job opportunities for registered applicants.
All efforts, united under Team Bahrain, are dedicated to realising the far-reaching vision of His Majesty King Hamad, with citizens remaining at the core of the comprehensive development, he said.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister noted that providing appropriate employment opportunities for Bahraini citizens represents one of the most important priorities and objectives of the kingdom’s wide-ranging development.
He recognised the Bahraini workforce’s diligence, hard work and dedication, which have significantly contributed to Bahrain’s ongoing development.
Over the years, from the flourishing pearl diving trade to the discovery of oil and gas, and from the advancement of banking, to the growth of industry, history has demonstrated that Bahrainis continue to advance across their competencies, rising to leadership positions across these sectors, he noted.
Today, with the continued expansion of the communications, information technology, and tourism industries, Bahrainis remain at the forefront, strengthening their competitiveness and broadening their prospects for growth, he pointed out.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister said citizens’ skills and capabilities have positioned them as a highly attractive investment factor for the country and a key driver of economic growth.
In this regard, he affirmed that, with steadfast confidence in their capabilities, the kingdom will continue to invest in their potential.
HRH Prince Salman underscored that placing citizens at the core of investment will remain central to securing a prosperous present and future.
He concluded by reaffirming the private sector as a vital partner of the public sector within Team Bahrain and the primary engine of economic growth.
He also emphasised the importance of continuing to strengthen the partnership to realise shared aspirations and deliver benefits to Bahraini citizens.
Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Finance and National Economy Minister Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Shura and Parliament Affairs Minister Ghanim Al Buainain, Legal Affairs and acting Labour Minister Youssef Khalaf attended.
Also present were Cabinet Affairs Minister and Tamkeen deputy chairman Hamad Al Malki, Social Development Minister Osama Al Alawi, Bahrain Chamber chairman Sameer Nass and senior officials.
The Labour Ministry has begun implementing the measures in co-operation with the private sector, Mr Khalaf said later.
