THE Bahrain Space Agency (BSA) has taken part in a panel discussion how advanced technologies can be used to enhance security against emerging challenges.
BSA chief executive officer Dr Mohammed Al Aseeri, who attended the panel discussion, said they reviewed US Department of Defence’s Golden Dome initiative, which seeks to develop an intelligent space defence system.
The discussion on data and artificial intelligence in space security was organised by Space News magazine in partnership with leading US technology companies.
The Golden Dome initiative integrates vast satellite and sensor data through global networks with predictive artificial intelligence trained to detect potential threats and make autonomous real-time decisions, alongside advanced data processing technologies to ensure rapid response and resilience in isolated environments.
Dr Al Aseeri highlighted the importance of international technology partnerships, emphasising that major initiatives like the Golden Dome represent a significant step in protecting strategic interests in space.
