MOTORSPORT – BAHRAINI-BRITISH GT team 2 Seas Motorsport showed strong pace yesterday in the Bronze test session of the fifth and final round in the 2025 GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup, taking place at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in Spain.
2 Seas’ #222 crew of Charles Dawson, Ben Barnicoat, and Thomas Lebbon – driving their Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo – ranked third in the test with a fastest lap time of one minute 42.178 seconds in 28 laps of work.
They were less than half-a-second behind pace sitters Kessel Racing, who had a fastest time of 1:41.842.
The stage is now set for free practice today at 10am, to be followed by pre-qualifying at 3.35pm. Qualifying will then be held tomorrow morning at 11.25am, setting the grid for the three-hour race later that afternoon, which is scheduled to flag off at 4pm. All times are Bahrain.
2 Seas are also operating the #33 Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3 Evo of Verstappen.com Racing this weekend. The car is being driven by Harry King, Chris Lulham, and Thierry Vermeulen, who are aiming to secure the series’ Gold Cup title.
