A man, aged 38, has been arrested for allegedly stealing goods worth BD10,000, the Interior Ministry announced in a statement yesterday.
The suspect, who has been identified by the ministry only as ‘Asian’, allegedly targeted a number of shops in the Capital Governorate.
The arrest comes as part of ongoing security efforts by the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science.
Investigators launched search and evidence-gathering operations after receiving multiple theft reports, which led to the suspect’s identification and arrest.
Legal proceedings have been initiated and the case has been referred to the Public Prosecution.
